In 2008, Study Play USA Founder Jo Dawkins accepted a 4 year Athletic- Scholarship (soccer) to American Division 1 University ‘Florida International University’ (FIU) in Miami, Florida. Jo graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management and a minor in Business Administration.

During his time at FIU Jo achieved numerous academic and sporting awards including Conference USA Honor Roll and Magna Cum Laude (Top of class High Distinction) with a 3.77 GPA, as well as team captain.

After a successful college career, Jo continued his playing career in North America with NASL high-flyers Ottawa Fury. Jo is still activily playing and coaching at the highest domestic league in New Zealand and has his finger on the pulse of talent coming out of New Zealand.

Jo has worked in the Scholarship industry for multiple years helping student athletes from New Zealand attain scholarships in some of the leading universities in the US.

Tania graduated from Florida International University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Business and Marketing. What was equally as impressive as her classroom excellence and graduating with Dean’s List honors, was Tania’s Golfing achievements. As a 4-year Division 1 captain, Tania lead FIU to the school’s first tournament victory in the Sunbelt Conference Golf Championship. Her personal accolades include Sunbelt All Conference Team selection and Sunbelt Conference Tournament Team selection. She also remains FIU’s All time score record holder. The highlight of Tania’s Collegiate career was in the 2012 Missouri University Tournament – Tania shot a NCAA Record 9-Under 63 to clinch the lowest round in Division 1 Golf. Previous to her departure for college, Tania was and is still one of New Zealand’s top golfers. She was ranked #3 in NZ Golf Rankings and captained the Auckland Women’s Golf Team for two years before her move.

Tania now trains as a professional golfer under the guidance of her coach out of Miami, Florida but returns to New Zealand regularly.

After impressing for the New Zealand U17 team in their successful world cup campiagn in South Korea in 2007, Anthony was awarded a Scholarship to attend Division 1 University Florida International University.

Anthony’s time in Miami, Florida was very successful both on and off the field. Highlights include; Team Captain as a Sophomore, Conference USA All-Conference 1st team, NCAA Div 1 All-American and Senior CLASS 1st team. Anthony Graduated in 2012 with a Major in Sports Management and a minor in Business Administration with a 3.78 GPA.

During his time in University Anthony also represented New Zealand at the U20 World Cup in Colombia, was a member of the NZ U23 Oceania Qualifying team and has attended National Team training camps.

Since graduating, Anthony has pursued a career in professional soccer and has achieved success in mulitple countries. Immediately after college he had a successful stint with MLS Franschise Portland Timbers playing for their reserves and U23 Side before a mid-season transfer to CF Gava in the Spainish Tercera Division. Anthony has played National League football in New Zealand for the past 2 seasons and has successfully won the ASB Premiership with Team Wellington and the Oceania Champions League with Auckland City FC.

Anthony joins the Study Play team as a head consultant and will take the lead on placing elite players follow in his footsteps. With an established playing background both domestically and in North America, Anthony brings an invaluable experience to help the future generation of Kiwi Soccer Players!

Kaitlyn, a native of, Seattle has forged an impressive professional career after being a collegiate standout at Florida International University. Prior to graduation in 2012 – Kaitlyn was a four year award recipient with All- Conference recognition including Sunbelt conference Freshman of the Year and All-Conference first team selection.

Kaitlyn’s post college career spans over 3 continents with professional stints in Iceland (Premier Division), Australia (W-League) and America (NWSL). She has relocated to New Zealand to begin a career in sports management and help to educate and recruit young talented Kiwi Soccer Players who have what it takes to succeed in the US Collegiate system.
